On A PERSONAL NOTE ........ When possible, Loom N Essence likes to support our local Iowa farms. Here's some information on a couple of our "Fiber Friends" for you to call, visit and support:
Photo: Bear Hollow Farm, Vinton, IA

"Every picture tells a story" Who's checking who out in this photo?
BearHollow Farm - 5356 25th Avenue - Vinton, IA 52349 319-472-5537
Vicky or Mike Goble, Owners
Located about 35 minutes from Cedar Rapids, this idyllic farm is home to Vicky and Mike's delightful Alpacas, Llamas and Sheep.
BearHollow Farms sells some of the softest alpaca yarns I have ever had the pleasure to touch. Treat yourself to one of Vicky's hand knitted designs ( hats, mittens or her beautiful beaded scarfs)
BearHollow's shearing process will begin in April and once again you will have the chance to purchase and enjoy the wonderful fleeces and yarns direct from their farm. Weather permitting, Vicky welcomes knitting and spinning groups and is happy to conduct tours which allows you to interract with her animals.
